Unfunded Grant Requests

305 8th Street:

305 8th Street provides shelter, case management and structured living for adults with mental and cognitive disabilities. Donors are needed in order to help provide sufficient care for those suffering from autism, brain injuries, cerebral palsy and other illnesses.

Ability Plus:

Ability Plus provides residential homes and day habilitation services for youth and adults who have been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities. The organization needs support from donors to support their programs such as their summer camps for those with special needs.

Ainsley’s Angels:

Ainsley’s Angels consists of runners and walkers that focus on lending their legs to those with special needs. The organization needs funding for specialized racing chairs so that volunteers can push those who are suffer from mobility challenges through various races and endurance events.

Burritt on the Mountain:

Burritt on the Mountain’s mission is to enhance lives and build community through educational, artistic and recreational experiences while preserving heritage, land and historic structures. Donors are needed to fund their scholarship fund for Title One schools, low-income students and at-risk youth to attend field trips with the organization.

CASA of Madison County:

CASA (Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound) of Madison County provides needed services to wheelchair or bed-bound to allow them to remain at home and age in one place. The organization needs donors to help provide supplies used by their skilled volunteers to build and maintain clients’ wheelchair ramps and to buy bathroom safety items.

The Community Free Dental Clinic:

The Community Free Dental Clinic offers free services to adults 19 and older who are in acute dental crisis. The clinic offers extractions of diseased teeth by highly qualified dentists and oral surgeons. Donors are needed to help provide safe and compassionate care to those with life-threatening dental conditions.

First Stop:

First Stop’s mission is to encounter with, connect and empower the homeless in the Huntsville community. Donors are needed to help secure materials necessary to provide basic services through volunteer groups, allowing staff to focus their attention on empowering the homeless.

Huntsville Assistance Program:

Huntsville Assistance Program is dedicated to Madison County residents that are at risk of becoming homeless and hungry. The organization needs donors to help supplement their rent and utilities assistance program.

Riverton Intermediate School Shop-It:

RIS Shop-It provides hygiene bags, snack bags, school supplies and clothing to students in 4th through 6th grade students. Donors are needed to help provide funding for these supplies as the organization expands to elementary schools.

The Salvation Army:

The Salvation Army provides continuous food, shelter, clothing and counseling to individuals in need throughout Madison County. The organization needs donations to continue providing care and resources to those who need it most.

Shepherd’s Cove Hospice:

Shepherd’s Cove Foundation provides gentle and skilled care to anyone facing end-of-life concerns, including counseling and pastoral care to friends and family who are struggling with the loss of loved ones. The organization needs donors to help support Camp Hope, an opportunity for children to gather in a retreat setting and find hope together during a difficult time in their lives.
