Community Scholars Fund

Vector is committed to serving our community through leadership development. We strive to build up the leaders of tomorrow and replace ourselves over time with the philanthropic funders of the future.

In 2017 the Vector Community Scholars Fund was established to focus on two groups in the greater Huntsville community. Half of the money raised each year goes to a student(s) whose parents or grandparents work in the local defense industry, while the other half provides scholarship money for a student(s) who is heading to college as a result of The CAP & GOWN Project. The C&G Project focuses on making college a reality for underprivileged kids attending high school in Madison County.

Not being able to host our annual Casino Night kickoff event, we weren’t sure what to expect from a more traditional letter writing campaign this year. So, our modest goal for the 2020 fundraising season was to drive our total lifetime dollars raised to $200,000 – which would mean raising $36,000 during a global pandemic. But thanks to the generosity of our industry partners, clients and friends, we blew that goal out of the water with our largest fundraising year ever. We are proud to announce that we raised over $78,000 bringing the total to date to more than $242,000 in scholarship dollars! Thanks for your continued support and we look forward to reaching new heights in the fall of 2021..
